Army Provider Level Satisfaction Survey

We at Reynolds Army Community Hospital are interested in knowing how you feel about each experience you have with us. After visiting with your provider you may receive an Army Provider Level Satisfaction Survey (known as Apples) in the mail. When you take the time to answer the survey you make us aware of what is working well for you and what changes you would like to see at the hospital. It only takes 2-3 minutes to answer the survey. Survey results benefit the hospital financially and allow us to improve services for you. We appreciate your willingness to give us feedback and ask that you continue to answer the survey each time you receive one in the mail. For questions please call 558-2390.

No Shows

Reynolds Army Community Hospital would like to ask our customers to help us in our efforts to reduce the number of no-shows. No-shows have a tremendous negative impact on our facility; they result in decreased appointment availability for other patients, decreased continuity of care, decreased efficiency and decreased revenue for staff and services.

There are 3 ways you can cancel an appointment. (1) Call 558-2000 during or after normal hours, (2) log onto www.tricareonline.com under your account or (3) select the ‘cancel’ option when you receive your automated phone message reminder. We understand that last minute problems may arise. If you find you are unable to make a scheduled appointment, please make every effort to call and cancel as soon as possible, so that we can give that appointment to someone else.

TRICARE Online (TOL)

Reynolds hospital encourages TRICARE prime enrollees to register with TRICARE online and schedule their appointments with their assigned primary care manager at www.tricareonline.com. TOL is fast and easy allows you and your family the convenience to access healthcare services, resources, and information through a secure internet environment 24 hours a day. If you experience problems or have questions call technical support at 1-800-600-9332.

TRICARE MAIL ORDER PROGRAM (renamed Home Delivery)

Reynolds Army Community Hospital highly recommends use of the mail-order pharmacy for prescriptions you use for chronic conditions. It's safe, convenient and easy to use even when you're traveling on a temporary assignment or if you move.

You will receive up to a 90-day supply for most medications through the mail-order pharmacy, with minimal out-of-pocket costs, and the medications will be delivered to your home. Refills may be requested by mail, phone or online. You get up to three times the quantity of medications for the same co-payment as a 30-day supply at a retail pharmacy. All prescription orders are verified by registered pharmacists for accuracy and safety. There is no charge for standard shipping and handling and you can avoid driving to a retail or military pharmacy and waiting in line. Registration pamphlets are available at the Reynolds Hospital Pharmacy or the TRICARE Service Center. For additional information or to register call 1-866-363-8667,
or visit the website at www.express-scripts.com.

Pharmissary

Reynolds Army Community Hospital has recently expanded its services at the Pharmissary. Beneficiaries are now able to fill hand-written prescriptions from network civilian providers that previously could only be filled at the main pharmacy in the hospital. We encourage our beneficiaries to utilize the Pharmissary for hand-written prescriptions as well as for all their call-in refills. Utilization of the Pharmissary for these two services will enhance and improve services in both pharmacies. Patients can also shop at the Commissary or the Post Exchange while their prescriptions are being filled. Beneficiaries can call-in medication refills by using the automated system at 458-2442/2443 and get their refill the same day; call in by 0900 and your prescription will be ready after 1100, call in by 1500 and your prescription will be ready after 1700. The Pharmissary is located in Bldg #1719 Macomb Road next to the Commissary; hours are 0900-1800 Monday – Friday. If you have questions or medication concerns please call 442-2013.

No-shows have a tremendous negative impact on our facility; they result in decreased appointment availability for other patients, decreased continuity of care, decreased efficiency and decreased revenue for staff and services. In the last year there were over 17,000 no-shows which resulted in a loss of revenue of over 1.2 million dollars.

Red Flag Identity Theft

Reynolds Army Community Hospital recently established new policies for the Red Flag Medical Identity Theft Prevention Program in response to the growing concerns about identity theft. A ‘Red Flag’ is defined as a pattern, practice, or specific activity that could indicate identity theft. One change Reynolds is implementing is to display only the last 4 numbers of your social security number on appointment slips. Other changes include the way we handle verification and eligibility for care.

Reynolds staff will do everything we can to protect your personal information. However, we must ensure that we do no harm by treating the wrong person; so it is still imperative you bring your military ID with you each time you present for medical care or medication. For additional information please call 558-2760.

EFMP

Reynolds Army Community Hospital has a dedicated physician in support of the Exceptional Family Member Program known as EFMP. EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that works with other military and civilian agencies to provide community support, housing, education, medical and personnel services to Active Duty families with special needs. Special needs includes physical, emotional, developmental or chronic medical problems that must be considered in the military personnel assignment process. Family Members must be screened and enrolled, if eligible, when the Soldier is on assignment instructions to an OCONUS area for which command sponsorship/Family member travel is authorized, and the Soldier elects to serve the accompanied tour. This screening consists of a medical records review for all Family members and developmental screening for all children 72 months of age and younger.

Soldiers are responsible for keeping their EFMP enrollment current as exceptional Family Member conditions change, or at least every three years, whichever comes first. For additional information please call 558-3460.
